It is easy to have short discussions at the beginning, middle, and end of the book to connect what we read to what we are doing in class.

The Big Book of Science provides several foldables you can create in your class and how to make them. It even gives ideas for which topics you can use on certain foldables. This allows students to be creative and organize their thoughts in an effective manner.
This is a good resource to use to go back and check my 5E lessons. If my lessons contain each bullet point, it is a proficient lesson to use in my class. If it doesn't, I can see where I can improve the lesson.
I can display this website on a projector so students can see how much time they have to complete an assignment or activity. When the time goes off, they will know to put their attention back on me for further instructions.
I really like this website because it uses your computer's microphone to track the sound of your classroom. The louder students get, the higher the balls bounce. When students see the balls bouncing too high, they will know to bring the noise level down.
